When may I enroll my child(ren)?

A family is able to enroll at any point during the year.

How old does my child have to be in order to attend?

Our programs offer care from one year old through five years of age

Do you offer flexible scheduling?

We offer full-time and part-time care for all age groups. Our Part-time programs are three days and five days a week from 8-12 or 2-6 and our full-time program is 8am-6PM Monday through Friday. Early drop-off and later pick-up are also available.

Do you offer Transportation?

Do your offer Summer Camp?

Yes. Our program typically runs from July through September.

Do you offer drop-in care or temporary care?

We do provide drop-in care to previously enrolled families and their siblings depending on availability. We do not offer temporary care as we seek to build quality relationships with our families over time.

What dates can I expect your schools to be closed?

You will be provided a calendar upon enrollment. Closure dates are posted on our website. Families will be notified to early school closures by notices distributed to your child(ren)’s cubby box as well as by text message. In the event of inclement weather, decisions to close a school will be made by following state and local restrictions. You will be asked to pick up your child. Tuition is not refundable during such closings.

Does your tuition include meals?

Yes. We provide healthy meals such as AM snack, lunch and PM snack.

Is there a registration fee?

At time of enrollment, a registration fee for each child is required and it is also billed every September. These fees are standard and non-refundable.

Are there any other upfront costs upon enrollment?

Upon enrollment you will be required to pay a deposit, tuition and registration fee

What is your tuition policy?

Tuition payments are billed in the beginning of the month and can be paid weekly or monthly

WEEKLY – Tuition is due in the beginning of every week.
MONTHLY – Tuition will is due no later than the 5th of every month.
Any payment not made by their respective due dates will be locked out and subject to $30 late fee in order regain entry to the center. The outstanding balance must be paid in full.

Can I pay bi-weekly?

You are able to pay bi-weekly as long as you are paying for child care services not yet rendered. You must be paying at least two weeks in advance for this arrangement to be acceptable.

Do I get a discount if I enroll more than one child?

Yes. We offer a 10% family discount applied to your oldest child’s tuition

What is your referral program?

Alphabet City offers families to receive ONE-WEEK FREE tuition toward their oldest enrolled child when they refer a new family. The referral credit will be issued after the referred child has completed their first month of childcare. In order to receive credit, you must complete required form at the center. Only valid when the form is dated with the referred child’s start date and approved by school director. Form must be submitted the first day your referral starts or before.

Are there any charges for picking up my child late?

Yes. We will allow you a grace period of five minutes. Thereafter, 6-15 minutes you will be charged $15 and 16-30 minutes late you will be charged $30, etc.

Is notice required before withdrawing my child?

A thirty-day advance notice is required when withdrawing a child from enrollment. A formal written submission of the thirty-day notice drop form, which must be signed by center management to be valid. If a family does not submit the appropriate documentation for withdrawal by the associated date, the family will be held financially liable for the thirty days even if they are no longer in attendance.

What is your vacation/sick policy?

Families earn one (1) week vacation credit after one year of continuous enrollment. One vacation credit is equivalent to ONE FREE WEEK of tuition. Vacation credits will not be issued in hindsight for days or weeks missed, particularly if the family is not yet eligible to receive the one-week vacation credit. Please note that students may not attend during this week. In addition, a child is entitled to one-week sick leave (five consecutive days) per year and will be responsible for fifty percent tuition for that week ONLY.

For those families who require an extended absence of 2 weeks or more, we allow for a temporary withdrawal. Families must submit the Two-Week Notice form and leave a deposit in order to secure a spot for their child(ren) when they return. Those who utilize a temporary withdrawal will no longer be eligible for the 1week vacation credit since they will not meet the criteria of continuous enrollment upon their return.
