OUR STAFF

Everyone knows that without the right team and teamwork you cannot succeed at building the right foundation. That is why we have a meticulous screening and hiring process to ensure that we build, maintain and provide the kind of team that enables us to positively impact children’s development and learning. At Alphabet City Child Care we have a highly trained professional caring, and warm team of teachers and support staff that constantly collaborate with each other and the children’s parents to foster each child’s imagination for learning and growing.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our philosophy is not just to educate but to make your children believe in themselves one step at a time. On their journey of growth, we aim to constantly inspire curiosity, and open their potential for creativity to set the stage for a lifelong passion to learn about the world around them. Our play-based curriculum focuses on literacy, math, science, social and emotional skills, and physical development. Classrooms are designed to inspire your learners, capturing each child’s interests, ideas, and independence to encourage a growing awareness of self.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Child safety is our number one priority. We have taken strict measures that our infrastructure reflects this philosophy.

Security starts at the door. Parents have to use a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to gain entry into the building. This enables our staff to monitor who drops off and picks up each child and records each child’s entry and exit daily. Children are released ONLY to those individuals who have been listed on enrollment records and who have been confirmed by identification check.

The safety of our little ones is paramount in our da-to-day world. Here is are just a few procedures incorporated into your daily experience with us:

Parent Notification- We keep parents informed via text messaging, email, Facebook, our website is updated showing school closing due inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances

School Sanitation – Our school is professionally cleaned each day using gentle non-toxic cleaning products. Toys are sanitized to help prevent the spread of germs. Diapering is conducted in separate areas away from play and eating areas. Hand washing is promoted throughout the day and cleaning supplies are locked-up and out of reach

Emergencies – All personal are trained in emergency procedures. Our facility has an evacuation plan and monthly fire drills are scheduled and conducted for evacuations.

Allergies – All Child allergies are documented in each child’s enrollment form and posted in his or her classroom

Health &Wellness – If a child is not feeling well, we request parents to pick up the child so that others aren’t infected. We asses every child’s health by communicating with parents and monitoring symptoms. Assessments are increased during flu season.
